Sony didn't tell people to get another job. They said they wanted people to want it so bad that they would feel they would want to work extra hours to get one. Completely different things. Yeah at Launch, then Sony dropped the price early in 2007. Price matters. Playstation can afford a higher price since its a bigger brand. Xbox, not so much as its less popular.
That answer is already written on the wall for you. PS3 offered BR tech which costed 1000 dollars for a standalone unit back in 2006. BR is matured and cheap tech now, the only reason X1 is that much is because of Kinect. PS3 had a good reason to cost a lot, X1 doesn't.

Why so much desperation to drag Sony down with MS when Sony has confirmed time and time agsin they wont require an internet connection. That alone puts it above XOne. The used games is up to publishers and wont have the same system in place as what MS is doing. This media bias is disgusting. Instead of calling out MS, just lie and throw Sony under with them. That rarely happens, its usually 9 to 1 in favor of Xbox One. Just look around the articles and you'll notice it yourself.
Lol @ Carmack, he's so biased to MS. It's well known that 360 was the machine that was easier to develop for this gen and he had no problem pointing that out. Now that the tables have turned and PS4 has almost double the FLOPS,50 percent more powerful graphics architecture, he's neutral. Typical.

The bias is clearly there, I could see if it was 50/50 or even 60/40 but any article listed here HAS to have Xbox One in front. Deny it all you want. The media is either paid off or in favor of anything American. The funny thing is both are made in China. Sony hires just as much if not more American devs as MS does. The fact that the One is listed first despite all its screw ups on May 21st says a lot about the American media being in bed with MS.
I know lol.I remember before the Xbox One was given an official name articles would always read like "The Nextgen Xbox vs PS4" or "Xbox 720 vs PS4" Like who lists a confirmed,named product after one thats name is made out of pure speculation. Theres a lot of bias. I think its because Xbox is an American product. Thats a dumb reason if I ever saw one.

Call me petty, or a conspiracy theorist. But you gotta love how the article submitter rearranged the listing order of the consoles to put Xbone first lol. I've yet to come across an article listing PS4 first. It wouldn't matter if the listings were somewhat close to 50/50 but there's obviously an agenda within the media to make PS4 play second fiddle to X1.

The only explanation is the media is in bed with MS. Had Sony had the weaker machine, the media would be all over it. Sadly all they'll do is downplay it.
What do they mean by "even at $500" they say it as if PS isn't the more popular brand.
